I have lived in Marion County since 1958. It was such a lush, green, beautiful area when we moved here. I’m having a hard time remembering how beautiful it was in the early years because of everything I see now.
“Cookie-cutter” homes all over the county with no warmth or charm, duplexes and quadriplexes springing up and thousands of our majestic oaks cut for more and more developments.
So many secondary roads are in deplorable condition yet sidewalks are installed along roads where nobody walks. And, all these new residences, particularly the rentals, are not realistically affordable for middle class families…
