A 46-year-old man was arrested after causing a commotion when he was denied access to a card game at a recreation center in The Villages.
Marion County sheriff’s deputies were called at about noon Monday to the First Responders Recreation Center after Anthony Santangelo, who lives with his elderly grandparents in Villa Valdosta in the Village of Belle Aire, allegedly grabbed a 70-year-old volunteer by her arm.
Santangelo, who stands 6 feet tall and weighs 220 pounds, was told by a recreation center employee that he could not participate in a card game, as he has been previously barred from other recreation centers in Florida’s Friendliest Hometown.
