After dominating at last week’s Carnegie Mellon Invitational, the Pittsburgh Panthers men and women track team stared down a stiff jump in competition at this weekend’s Florida Relays.
Held in Gainesville, Florida, on the campus of the Florida Gators, this was a two-day meet that began on Friday and concluded on Saturday. It also included individual high school events on Friday and relays on Saturday.
Junior Alesia Rengle was Pitt’s star during Friday’s events. Rengle won the women’s high jump with a leap of 5-feet, 9 and a quarter inches (1.76 meters). She edged out A’reil Williams of Louisiana Tech and Kendall Ward of Georgia Tech based off fewest misses…
