He was 12 when charged with three Marion County murders. Now his case has taken a turn.

According to Marion County prosecutors, the youngest of three defendants charged in connection with the murders of three teenagers in 2023 was the youngest person to be indicted as an adult in this area.

At the time, the defendant, 12, was charged with first-degree murder with a firearm, robbery with a firearm and tampering with evidence. While being held in the county jail, the juvenile, whose name is being withheld by the Star-Banner because of his age, picked up a charge of battery by a person in a detention facility.

While investigating the shooting deaths, detectives learned that several hours before the killings, the boy and another individual, later identified as Robert Le’Andrew Robinson, were connected to a reported shooting and robbery that almost resulted in a death.
