GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) – In addition to raising thousands of dollars for pediatric cancer research, a charity put a big smile on a 17-year-old’s face on Wednesday.
The 26th annual Bear-a-Thon concluded with a gala last weekend. The fundraiser received $115,250 in donations this year to benefit Stop Children’s Cancer. Over 26 years, they have raised more than $1,800,000 locally.
