Convicted felon arrested after high-speed chase on I-75, facing multiple charges

OCALA, Fla. (WCJB) – Deputies with the Marion County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) chased a man who they said was a convicted felon across both lanes of I-75 and arrested him Wednesday afternoon.

MCSO deputies said they arrested Charlie Daniels Jr., 25, Wednesday night for Fleeing to Elude a Law Enforcement Officer, Possession of Ammunition by a Convicted Felon, Resisting Arrest without Violence, and Driving without a Valid License.

While in custody, Daniels was also charged with two counts of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Shooting into a Vehicle, Firing a Weapon on Residential Property, and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon…
