Former Marion County teacher arrested for child exploitation, investigators seek additional victims

MARION COUNTY, FL (352today.com) – A former teacher is facing serious charges after a months-long investigation uncovered sexually explicit exchanges with a juvenile student.

On Wednesday, May 7, 2025, Marion County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Detective Jordyn Batts arrested 24-year-old Dianely Torres on nine counts of possession of child sexual abuse material and five counts of transmission of material harmful to minors.

The investigation began in February when a school resource officer received a complaint involving suspicious contact between Torres and a student.
