A long-term substitute teacher in Marion County was arrested last week on multiple charges related to child sexual abuse material, prompting authorities to seek information about potential additional victims.
Dianely Torres, 24, whose date of birth is listed as December 12, 2000, was taken into custody on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, by Marion County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) Major Crimes Detective Jordyn Batts. Torres faces nine counts of Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material and five counts of Transmission of Material Harmful to Minors.
The investigation reportedly began in February when a School Resource Officer (SRO) received a complaint. A witness had observed Torres in her classroom massaging the head of a juvenile victim as the victim’s head rested in her lap.
