Alachua County Sheriff’s Office (ACSO) deputies arrested Kevin Casey Spaulding, 35, early Tuesday morning and charged him with felony battery with a prior conviction.
Spaulding hit the victim four times and attempted to drag her out of his vehicle, the arrest report states.
ACSO Deputy Connor Logan reported, “I spoke with [Spaulding] over the phone because he was no longer on scene, I requested he come to the incident location to question him about the situation. [Spaulding] arrived on scene and in a post-Miranda interview, [he] stated there was a physical altercation that occurred, but denied putting his hands on the victim. [Spaulding] stated the victim grabbed him then locked herself in his car, he did admit to putting his hand on her leg to try to get her out of the vehicle.”…
