Driver killed on Marion roadway less than 12 hours after fatal motorcycle accident

A 41-year-old man was killed after failing to negotiate a curve and crashing into a tree along State Road 42 in Marion County on Friday morning, less than 12 hours after another fatal accident in the county claimed the life of a 19-year-old motorcyclist.

According to a report by the Florida Highway Patrol, a sedan was traveling eastbound on CR 42, approaching a curve in the roadway, at around 2:42 a.m. on Friday, June 27.
