Man on probation arrested for possession of a firearm during investigation of armed disturbance

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Kimon Marcus Miller, 35, was arrested early this morning for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon after deputies investigating an armed disturbance found a pistol next to his car.

At about 2:40 a.m. on June 29, Gainesville Police Department officers responded to a call about an armed disturbance in the 300 block of SE 2nd Avenue. Callers reportedly said the armed suspect, a black male, was in a red Chevy Impala with a Miami Heat license plate; officers found Miller sitting in a vehicle that matched that description…
