A mother who had been drinking shoved a police officer in the face during a family fracas.
Officers responded to a domestic dispute between 27-year-old Aliza Hope Hiers of Williston and the father of her children at a home on Belle Oak Drive around 12:50 a.m. Sunday, according to an arrest report from the Leesburg Police Department.
Upon arrival, the officers met with the father. He advised that they were at a friend’s house when Hiers wanted to leave with their children. He objected due to concerns for the children’s safety, as Hiers had been drinking alcohol and was not in a condition to drive. He also stated she got aggressive when under the influence of alcohol, which had been an ongoing issue in their relationship, the report said.
Meanwhile, another officer was getting a statement from Hiers for her side of the story. He then began speaking to the father, and she repeatedly screamed at law enforcement. She tried to approach but was told to stay back so the officers could finish the investigation, the report said…
