A Florida-based optometry company has terminated employees at 43 locations across the state of Florida, including multiple individuals in Marion County, Sumter County, and Lake County, citing the loss of a contract.
Global Care Optometry filed the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Notice with the Florida Department of Commerce on Tuesday, July 1.
“Based on the best information available at this time, we anticipate that up to 116 employees across 43 Florida locations will be separated from the company,” reads the letter. The job losses are “due to a contract loss.”…
