GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) – In Ocala, Patriotic Skies is a great event to celebrate the 4th! It features live music throughout, a kids’ zone with games and activities for the family, and food trucks to satisfy your appetite. And it wraps up with a round of fireworks. It’s tonight from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Tuscawilla Park.

To the north in Alachua County, the city of Alachua is having its annual 4th of July celebration at Legacy Park on Peggy Road tonight. The event, sometimes referred to as the “largest small town fireworks display in America”, includes food trucks, live music, and more. Gates open at 5 p.m., and the fireworks go off at 9:30.

Even farther to the north, Lake City’s celebration, called “More than just fireworks”, has not only food trucks and live music, but also craft vendors and a kids zone. There’ll also be hot dog and watermelon eating contests, and more fun for the family, wrapping up with fireworks. It runs from 5 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. tonight at the Florida Gateway Fairgrounds…
