Marion felon jailed for firing revolver in bedroom

A revolver was fired inside a Marion County residence on Monday, leading to the arrest of a local convicted felon.

On Monday, June 30, several Marion County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a home located on Pecan Road in Dunnellon after shots were reportedly fired inside the residence. Upon arrival, they made contact with a witness who advised that his son, 26-year-old Hunter Charles Destin, had “discharged [a] pistol” inside one of the bedrooms, according to the arrest report.

The witness stated that he was drinking alcoholic beverages with Destin on the back porch of the residence when he asked his son to “get some cigarettes” from the bedroom.
