GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) – During the school year, Sabrina Peoples teaches at Howard Bishop Middle, but this summer, she is part of the CROP program, helping students with credit retrieval.
“It is my purpose and it’s my calling to do that,” said Peoples, “If it takes that little bit of time out of my day to help get them to the next level. I love the kids, I love helping the kids, I love being a sounding board for the kids. For some, I’m their mom, and their aunt, I’m their big sister, and what they need. I have developed a good rapport with them as well as their parents.”
The CROP program in Alachua County has now concluded, but ran Monday-Thursday. Peoples often made herself available on Friday and Sunday to give students that extra help…
