An argument over a margarita machine led to an Ocala husband’s arrest after he allegedly battered his wife and prevented her from contacting law enforcement.
On Friday, July 4, several Marion County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a local residence in reference to a physical altercation. A female victim advised that her husband, 59-year-old Michael Duane Stalnacker, had punched and choked her, according to the arrest report.
The victim stated that she was consuming alcoholic beverages with Stalnacker near their pool when she asked him to “get their margarita machine started.” The report stated that some of the victim’s friends had been invited to the house, and she wanted to make some margaritas for them…
