Ocala woman sends over 100 texts threatening to destroy man’s business, deputies say

An Ocala woman was arrested earlier this week after she allegedly sent over 100 text messages to a man, demanding money and threatening to post negative Google reviews about his business if he failed to pay her.

On Tuesday, June 24, a Marion County Sheriff’s Office made contact with the male victim who advised that he began to receive text messages from an unknown number at around 6:45 p.m. that evening. The sender of those messages was later identified by law enforcement as Kristin Lee Jarvis, according to the arrest report.

In those text messages to the victim, Jarvis allegedly threatened to “destroy” the victim’s business by posting bad reviews online. The first text message stated, “Do you know how many bad reviews I can list from different people on every site that your (business) is listed.”…
