Woman faces charges after pretending to be a sheriff’s office sergeant, trying to hit a driver

DUNNELLON, Fla. (WCJB) – A woman was arrested after deputies say she pretended to be a law enforcement officer and trying to hit another driver.

Beth Ryan, 55, of Dunnellon was released on bond on Wednesday while she waits for criminal charges to move forward in Marion County. She was arrested on Monday.

Marion County Sheriff’s deputies say Ryan followed the victim home and tried to hit them with her vehicle. Then, deputies say she pretended to be a sheriff’s office sergeant…
