Marion County Man Pleads No Contest In High-Speed Flee, Elude Case – Sentenced To 6 Years

Marion County Man Avoids Jury Trial, Accepts Prison Time for Evading Deputies and Drug Possession

MARION COUNTY, Fla. – Just moments before a jury was set to hear the state’s case, 36-year-old Jeremy Donye Walker entered a plea of no contest yesterday in a dramatic turn of events in Marion County court. Walker’s plea avoids a jury trial stemming from a March 6, 2025, incident involving a high-speed pursuit and the discovery of drugs and ammunition.

Walker pleaded no contest to a litany of charges, including Fleeing or Attempting to Elude, Possession with the Intent to Sell Hydromorphone, Possession of Ammunition by a Felon, No Motor Vehicle Registration, and No Valid Driver’s License.

Following his conviction, Walker was sentenced to six years in state prison, which will be followed by four years of probation. Additionally, he was ordered to pay court fees and fines and to complete mandated mental health treatment upon his release…
