A man living in The Villages with his mother has been jailed after testing positive for cocaine.
Mark Christopher Davis, 57, of the Village of Santo Domingo, was being held without bond at the Marion County Jail.
Davis, who is currently on probation on a drug charge, tested positive for cocaine in his urine June 17 and 20 while visiting the probation office in Sumter County. A warrant was issued for his arrest after the test results came back to the probation office.
He was placed on probation following an arrest this past November. At the time, the Ohio native who has lived in Villages for several years, was driving a four-door utility vehicle southbound on U.S. Hwy. 441 in Summerfield when he disobeyed a red light, according to an arrest report from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.
