GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) – Residents living near the Four Creeks Preserve in northwest Gainesville are raising concerns after the city’s Development Review Board approved a plan Tuesday to build a county field operations facility on the conservation land.
The proposal, submitted by Alachua County’s Office of Land Conservation and Management, includes construction of office space, parking, utility infrastructure and stormwater systems. The site sits off NW 43rd Street, across from the Weschester and Millhopper Station neighborhoods.
