More Ocala area children in running for Toddler of the Year

Several local children are in the running for a chance to win a national competition for the most adorable toddler in the nation, which will award the winning toddler with a $25,000 prize and the opportunity to star in a national ad campaign.

Earlier this week, Ocala-News.com reported that 3-year-old Salvatore Larocca was in the running for Toddler of the Year, a national contest hosted by television personality Mario Lopez.

After that article, several other local parents reached out to Ocala-News.com to share similar details. Here are a few of the local children in the running:

  • Alyssa and Julissa Colon are twins whose mother, Madeyln, says love to swim, play outdoors, climb, run and laugh “all day long.” Their mother says the twins are her “miracles” and her “life.” Cast your vote for the twins here.
  • Josie is a 3-year-old with an “adventurous little spirit with a love for the outdoors.” She loves Disney, is always “asking thoughtful questions and eager to understand the world around her,” and has a “sweet and compassionate nature.” Cast your vote for Josie here.
  • Charlie is described by her mother, Richelle, as the “sweetest and most kindest girl” she knows. She loves “every living thing around her and is curious” as to their purpose. She tells everyone that they are her “very bestest friend” and is always excited to make new friends, says her mother. Cast your vote for Charlie.
  • Liam is a 2-year-old whose mother describes as “smart, curious” and capable of solving problems “beyond his age.” His mother says Liam is full of energy and joy and that he loves anything with sports balls, jumping, climbing, and has a passion for music.

The winning toddler will take home $25,000, will have the opportunity to star in a national ad campaign, will lead the Hollywood Christmas Parade, and will get a chance to visit Peppa Pig theme park, which is located in Winter Haven…
