Fentanyl, cocaine found after Ocala man allegedly flees traffic stop on foot

An Ocala man who was tasered by a deputy while allegedly attempting to run from a traffic stop is facing additional drug possession charges after fentanyl and cocaine were reportedly found inside his car.

On Friday, July 18, at around 11:45 p.m., a Marion County Sheriff’s Office deputy allegedly observed a driver, later identified as 32-year-old Quintin Fitzgerald Holt, Jr., who was not wearing a seatbelt, according to the arrest report.

The deputy noted in the report that Holt’s car, a Buick sedan, turned southbound onto NW Gainesville Road from U.S. Highway 316. The deputy caught up to the car and attempted to conduct a traffic stop near the 7600 block of NW Gainesville Road…
