Gainesville man sentenced to 15 years in federal prison for firearm possession

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – James C. Mobley, 43, of Gainesville, was sentenced to a total of 15 years in federal prison following his conviction for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. John P. Heekin, United States Attorney for the Northern District of Florida, announced the sentence.

U.S. Attorney Heekin said: “This sentence ensures that our community will be safer and sends a strong message that there are real and severe consequences for federal firearm offenses.
