Alachua County School Board member Sarah Rockwell has been ordered to appear before the state Board of Education, a dramatic new development in the controversy surrounding her “Hulk Hogan” social media comments.
The directive came in a strongly worded letter from Florida Education Commissioner Anastasios Kamoutsas, who is also recommending the state withhold district funding equal to the salaries of all board members.
The fallout stems from a Facebook post Rockwell made following the death of a conservative public figure, which read, “Oh did Hulk die? I didn’t even know. Good, One less MAGA in the world.”
