Compassionate Outreach Ministries’ fellowship hall on Aug. 1 was filled with music, dance and joyful tears as the church hosted a celebration to welcome back Karla Hutchinson as principal of Lake Forest Elementary School.
Hutchinson, who served as principal at Lake Forest from 2016 to 2019, officially returned to the position on July 1. She will welcome students back to campus on Aug. 11.
“I’m very blessed that they think enough of the work that I’ve done to want to do an event such as this to welcome me back,” Hutchinson said. “I’m so overwhelmed with appreciation, and it feels good to know that I have the support of the community.”…
