The Marion County Sheriff’s Office is hoping to settle a lawsuit from a passenger who suffered “severe and permanent injuries” after a vehicle in which he was riding was struck by a deputy while it was stopped on U.S. Highway 441.
The sheriff’s office filed a notice of the proposed settlement to Antoine Taylor in the Fifth Judicial Circuit Court of Marion County on July 21. The terms of the settlement are not disclosed on the notice.
