Florida’s under-the-radar freshman QB is trying to make a QB2 case

There’s no question that DJ Lagway, as long as he can stay healthy, is Florida’s guy in the pocket on opening night. But the slot that is still up for grabs is the backup quarterback position, and right now, a young freshman quarterback is putting up a fight to earn that spot.

While many analysts say Tramell Jones Jr. is on the outside looking in, the 6’3”, 203lb Jacksonville, FL native has been getting some high praise from his teammates throughout camp. He is a player that no one should overlook, as he is working hard to make a name for himself to backup Lagway.
