I-75 in Marion County reopens after multi-vehicle crash

MARION COUNTY, Fla. – A multi-vehicle crash involving four semitrucks and a Honda Civic shut down all northbound lanes of Interstate 75 for hours in Marion County on Wednesday evening, according to a news release.

Officials from the FDOT said the crash was reported in the northbound lanes of I-75 in the area of exit 352 and State Road 40 around 3:49 p.m. It later reopened around 8 p.m.

“The incident involved an overturned semi-truck that was reportedly traveling Southbound when a tire failure led to the vehicle veering into oncoming traffic,” officials said in the release…
