No bail for woman, 28, accused of DUI manslaughter

At her first appearance hearing held the morning of Aug. 17 at the Marion County Jail in front of Circuit Judge Timothy McCourt, a somber looking Amber Noelle Sacks was told she would be held without bail because she was on probation and the new crime was accused of committing — DUI manslaughter — was serious.

During that hearing, Sacks, 28, told the judge she’s unemployed and receives child support.

Handcuffed and with her feet shackled, Sacks appeared in front of the same judge on Aug. 28. The state sought pre-trial detention, which if granted would mean she would continue to be held without bail while her case plays out…
