Gainesville Police Department officers arrested Luis Narvaez, 42, Tuesday morning and charged him with aggravated domestic assault.
According to the arrest report, the victim told police she and Narvaez were in an altercation during the prior night, causing her to go to her sister’s residence until the morning. When the victim returned, Narvaez reportedly accused her of cheating, prompting the victim to call her sister to dispel his allegation.
After the victim called her sister, she walked into the kitchen. While seated on the couch, Narvaez “thought [the victim] was laughing at him, so [he] stabbed a knife into the living room table,” the arrest report states. Narvaez allegedly told the victim he could “stab her in the side of the neck, and friends, neighbors, and police would be unable to help.” In fear for her life, the victim called the police…
