Marion man on dirt bike aimed gun at road workers, deputies say

A 26-year-old man has been charged with multiple counts of aggravated assault after he allegedly pointed a gun at a group of road construction workers in Silver Springs Shores.

On Tuesday, September 16, several Marion County Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to the intersection of Pine Road and Pine Radial in Silver Springs Shores after receiving reports that a man had pointed a firearm at a group of workers who were doing road construction in the area, according to the arrest report.

One of the deputies noted in the report that the workers had dug a large hole in the middle of the roadway, and signs were at both ends of the construction area indicating that the road was closed…
