Marion County Man Busted With Over 300 Grams Of Meth, Fentanyl; Faces 20-Year Prison Sentence

Cody Allen McGuigan faces a mandatory minimum 20-year sentence after a Marion County jury finds him guilty of multiple drug trafficking charges.

MARION COUNTY, Fla. – A Marion County jury has found a 40-year-old man, Cody Allen McGuigan, guilty on multiple felony charges, including trafficking over 200 grams of methamphetamine. The conviction, which was announced on September 17, 2025, followed an investigation by the Marion County Unified Drug Enforcement Task Force (UDEST) that began in early 2024.

McGuigan was convicted of Trafficking Fentanyl over 14 Grams, Trafficking Methamphetamine 200 Grams or More, Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Unlawful Use of a Two-way Communication Device.

He has been remanded into custody and will await sentencing after a presentence investigation is completed. Due to the nature of the charges, McGuigan faces a minimum-mandatory sentence of 20 years in state prison…
