New York Felon Arrested in Gainesville for Possessing Firearm, Domestic Violence and Resisting Arrest

Gainesville Police Department officers arrested Allen Leroy, 33, Thursday night and charged him with felony domestic battery by strangulation, possessing a firearm as a convicted felon and resisting an officer without violence.

According to the arrest report, Leroy screamed at the victim and choked her five or six times with both his hands. He then reportedly slammed the victim on the ground, causing visible injuries.

The victim was on FaceTime with her brother during the incident, who told police he heard Leroy beating his sister. The victim’s brother screen recorded the FaceTime call after the altercation started…
