Gainesville city leaders consider changes to transportation services for people with disabilities

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) -Gainesville city commissioners are considering bringing para-transit services for individuals with disabilities, which are currently provided by MV Transit.

MV Transit leaders warn that this switch could negatively impact the community, potentially resulting in the loss of over 10,000 service rides. Despite having a 22-year partnership with the city, officials believe that insourcing will save money and maintain the quality of service.
