Hawthorne pair arrested for dealing drugs after allegedly referring to drugs in jail phone conversations

HAWTHORNE, Fla. – Patrick Lendell Green, 49, and Shawanna Latisha Williams, 47, have been charged with drug trafficking after they reportedly referred to drugs in jail phone conversations.

Williams was arrested on July 26 after a traffic stop for an expired tag. She reportedly denied consent to search the vehicle, but a K-9 team alerted on the vehicle, and the search reportedly produced 3.25 grams of “crack” cocaine, a loaded revolver, and a marijuana pipe. She was charged with possession of cocaine, possession of cocaine with intent to sell, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, maintaining a drug vehicle, and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was released on $67,500 bail, but in a phone call from the jail to Green on July 26, Green reportedly asked her, “Did they catch you with all of it?” and Williams responded, “No.” Green reportedly said, “Everyone calling you now, trying to buy some now… They were watching you, they are probably watching me, too. You got to be careful now; I do, too.”…
