3 dead after plane crashes into Florida field

WILLISTON, Fla. (WFLA) — A plane crash claimed multiple lives over the weekend in Levy County, Florida, deputies said.

The Levy County Sheriff’s Office first reported the incident on Sunday, saying it responded to the crash with multiple agencies.

“There is a Law Enforcement presence southwest of the City of Williston,” the sheriff’s office wrote on social media. “The Levy County Sheriff’s Office, Williston Fire Department and the Levy County Department of Public Safety responded to a plane crash with fatalities. The Levy County Sheriff’s Office is awaiting a response from the FAA and NTSB.”

The National Transportation Safety Board confirmed the plane crash on social media, saying it involved “a Beech 58P one mile NW of Williston Regional Airport, Williston, Florida.”

A report from WUFT said authorities confirmed there were three deaths and no survivors. A business across the road from the crash site, Blue Pear Farms, also posted that there were three fatalities…
