GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Leeandra Morris, 22, and Corey A. Robinson, 32, were arrested early this morning for allegedly trying to force their way into a pickup truck to rob the driver.
The victim told the responding Gainesville Police Department officer that he was sitting in his pickup truck in Pinewood Estates (5200 NE 39th Avenue) when he saw two people walking toward his truck. He said the woman approached the front of his truck, clutching her waistband as if she were about to pull out a firearm, and then she pulled on the driver’s side door handle and tried to open the door, but it was locked; the victim quickly placed the truck into Drive and pulled away.
