‘You won’t live past this year’: Marion man arrested for texting threats to ex-girlfriend

A 50-year-old Marion County man was arrested more than a month after he allegedly sent a text message to his ex-girlfriend threatening to kill her.

On Tuesday, September 2, a Marion County Sheriff’s Office deputy made contact with the female victim who advised that she had received a threatening text message earlier that morning. She advised that she believed the message had been sent from her ex-boyfriend, Fort McCoy resident Benny Delvalle, according to the arrest report.

The deputy reviewed the text message on the victim’s cellphone, which stated: “You won’t live past this year (expletive) nasty (expletive) (expletive), you (expletive) (expletive) rag. I seriously can’t wait till I’m standing over your nasty (expletive) dead body. You better call and apologize to me, or I will come back and kill you, you nasty (expletive) (expletive).”
