A Gainesville woman was arrested after attacking some Good Samaritans who stopped to help her on the side of the road.
A deputy responded to a physical altercation between 37-year-old Jacquelyn Marie Srabian and multiple people on the side of County Road 673 around 10:15 p.m. Sunday, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.
A female driver advised that she was headed east when she saw Srabian and a man along with several items from a red 2014 Ford F-150 laid out along the side of the road. At the man’s request, she pulled over onto an unmarked road to help them. After she turned her black 2024 Chevrolet Trax around, Srabian began yelling profane remarks at the vehicle, the report said. The report specified that the Good Samaritan and Srabian did not know each other and had not previous history.
She then latched onto the vehicle’s partially open driver’s side window and tried to hit the driver by reaching inside. She could not reach her, so she struck the male backseat passenger instead.
