A Marion County resident who retired as a United States Army Captain after a decorated career in which he earned a Purple Heart, Silver Star, Bronze Star, Distinguished Flying Cross, and Air Medal for his service as a helicopter pilot during the Vietnam War, will be inducted into the Florida Veterans’ Hall of Fame this week.
Retired U.S. Army Captain Stephen Petty will be inducted into the Florida Veterans’ Hall of Fame on Thursday, November 6.
