Teen caught driving 104 mph claims he needed to use restroom

A Belleview teen caught driving in excess of 100 miles per hour claimed he had to use the restroom.

A deputy spotted 19-year-old Jonathan Villanueva speeding in a red Dodge SUV on Southeast 92nd Loop in Belleview at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, according to an arrest report from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office. Radar showed he was going 104 mph in a 50-mph zone.

Seeing this, the deputy turned around to stop Villanueva, who turned onto County Road 25. He then made another turn onto Southeast 84th Avenue and switched off his headlights in a neighborhood where speeds were between 45 and 65mph. He only stopped once he hit a dead-end road just east of Southeast 122nd Place and Southeast 89th Terrace, the report said.

The deputy proceeded to block him in and detained him. Villanueva stated he did not want to go back to jail, and he had to use the restroom. He said he lived in the neighborhood but was not familiar with the area without headlights, which was why he ended up at a dead end, the report said…
