An Ocklawaha woman was arrested for allegedly attacking her elderly sister when it was time to take her medication and go to bed.
The sister of 72-year-old Gloria Jean Bowman called 911 during a fight in their shared residence at 5:10 p.m. Wednesday, according to an arrest report from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office. She told deputies that Bowman clawed into her arms with her nails and pulled her hair out while tussling on the ground. Indeed, one of them had already seen the hair on the kitchen floor.
Several deputies detained Bowman in the back of a patrol vehicle at that point. They noticed she smelled of alcohol and could not stand up on her own. While waiting for medics to come, a deputy went back into the residence and interviewed her sister, the report said.
She recalled bringing Bowman’s medicine to her room and seeing she had very wide eyes. She knew Bowman had been drinking, so she left the room due to having conflicts in the past when she was drunk. She made it to the hallway before Bowman approached her about the medicine, the report said…
