A Marion County property owner is seeking permission to build a new simulated munitions facility that would provide non-lethal simulations and “realistic, scenario-based preparation” to local residents and law enforcement personnel.
The special use request from Scott Adams of Carbine Stable is part of the Marion County Planning and Zoning Commission’s regular agenda this week.
Adams is hoping to construct a metal pole building at a 6.5-acre residential site at 4243 NE 175th Street Road to serve as a “Simunition or equivalent training house” for “safe, non-lethal simulations focused on personal protection scenarios.”
