El Indio
Gainesville favorite El Indio — a local staple since 1992 — recently opened its third location at 401 NW 143rd St., behind the Publix at Steeplechase in Jonesville.
The restaurant, which has yet to hold its official grand opening, serves up classic Mexican fare such as tacos, enchiladas, quesadillas, burritos and nachos. Choose from a variety of proteins including carne asada, shredded beef, ground beef, carnitas, fish, shrimp, chicken and more. There’s also a selection of breakfast options, coffees and ice cream.
Unlike the other two locations at 407 NW 13th St. and 5011 NW 34th Blvd. in Gainesville, the Jonesville location is setup more like a traditional restaurant and features a full liquor bar. There’s also a walk-up salsa bar if you need to spice things up a bit…
