GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Shammari Dewayne Russell Tolbert, 21, was arrested on Friday for an October incident in which he allegedly pointed a gun at two women.
At about 5:25 a.m. on October 30, Tolbert was in the first victim’s apartment at Gardenia Gardens (1725 NE 8th Avenue), where he was assisting with caring for the first victim’s infant. The first victim told a responding Gainesville Police Department officer that she was in her room with the baby when Tolbert broke through the locked door and started yelling at her.
