GAINESVILLE, FL – In the early morning hours of Sunday, November 30, 2025, Gainesville deputies responded to a reported shooting at the Park Lane Apartments in southwest Gainesville. The call indicated a possible injured person inside a residence.
Upon arrival, deputies discovered an adult victim suffering from a serious laceration. Near the victim, they found 23-year-old Dasani Avianalyndell Johnson, who was also injured and covered in blood. Johnson was initially uncooperative with law enforcement. Both individuals received on-scene medical attention and were transported to local hospitals for further evaluation and treatment.
During a protective sweep of the apartment, deputies observed significant blood evidence in multiple rooms, a blunt-force object, and damage to a wall consistent with a gunshot.
