GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) — Members of the Gainesville Junior League are ensuring 500 families have a toy and joy-filled Christmas this year.
Miracle on Main Street is back for the 35th time, and this isn’t your average toy drive. The Junior League works with 14 different community agencies to identify families in need, taking their individual wish lists and making their Christmas dreams come true to the best of their abilities.
“So we provide families with this year 500 kids with bikes, holiday toys, clothing items, diapers, underwear, socks, and then based on feedback from our community partners we also added in household essentials like crock pots and airfryers and also we’ll be giving them a food bag to prepare a meal over the holidays,” said Melissa Zawada, president of the Junior League…
