Marion County is facing its third recent rabies alert after a confirmed case was identified in a coyote, just weeks after a cat and raccoon tested positive for the disease.
The Florida Department of Health in Marion County (DOH-Marion) issued another 60-day rabies alert in response to a confirmed case of rabies in a coyote that was captured off SW 49th Ave. Rd. and SW 103rd Street Rd. on December 3.
